The Board of Directors of the Youth Cultural Society of Nikiti  ‘SITHON‘ announces the 54th International Swimming Crossing of  Toroneos Gulf, in Nikiti, Halkidiki on Saturday 27 July 2024.

This event does not divide participants into professional and amateur swimmers, but on the contrary, enhances the sense of unity between them and promotes sportsmanship, challenging both their mental and physical strengths at the same time.

Swimmers will cover the distance of 26 Km from Kallithea Kassandra to Nikiti of  Sithonia without the use of navigation aids or fins or swimming suits.  For their safety, participants will be accompanied by motorboats and speedboats with wireless communication.

The start of the race will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 07:30 a.m. if weather conditions allow and there are no unexpected delays.

Swimmers from Greece and abroad are eligible to participate if they have previously completed a swimming race of at least 5 km. The number of participants is set at 20 swimmers.
